Experimental wired mode

A USB streaming companion for Power Users.

Connect a compatible Android tablet by USB, start monitoring in the macOS menu-bar app, then select the published (wired) route from Control Center → Screen Mirroring. The companion keeps watching for reconnects, confirms the USB link before publishing the route, and can control tablet brightness after you grant Android’s system setting permission.

Wi-Fi display mode remains available without host software. The tablet app also offers a Quick Settings tile, optional restart persistence, local display-name settings, 60-minute free sessions, and a one-time lifetime unlock. Audio playback is available where the active receiver path and device support it.

Streemi.ng exists because other people did careful public work on understanding wireless display protocols before it. These projects and notes helped make an unofficial implementation possible.

Streemi.ng is independently developed and is not affiliated with Apple or the projects listed here.
